Title: 'Prayers for Jobs and Money'

Introductory Notes

Unless we've hidden ourselves away for ages in meditation, somewhere deep within the Amazon jungle, and completely disconnected from all known forms of mass media communication, we would all no doubt be familiar with the current 'credit crunch'.

In certain academic circles it has even been postulated that this credit crunch, is a sign of the end times as prophesied in the scriptures. Whatever are beliefs, or our political and social persuasions, one thing is for certain. A safe means by which to navigate this economic terrain with a degree of harmony and some modicum of soul integrity in tact, is essential.

So many of us are in the grip of the financial crisis.
Only this year, I have personally, been the victim of a carefully orchestrated on-line marketing scam, so obnoxious, devastating and shocking that it has required every fibre of my faith and strength left, to get past the shock, disappointment and betrayal I experienced, in order for me to keep going.

If it were not for my steadfast faith in a higher power, in our Lord Jesus Christ, and my understandings about the times we are currently living in, that experience could have resulted in a nasty personal meltdown.

To suddenly find all the savings you had worked hard and planned meticulously for, and which you spent years of contributing and sacrificing to acquire, suddenly get scammed off you in a moment through someone in a position of mentoring and trust, is quite devastating. I feel I have been mugged, violated and abused along with all the accompanying emotional and psychological ramifications.

Fortunately, I am aware of God, and His ministry. 
Fortunately there are community services today, like the 'victims support scheme' that assists persons who have been harmed by the effects of such crimes. I received a very nasty shock to my system, because I gave my trust to someone who was unworthy of it. I have every intention of dealing with the entire matter ethically, by inspired action under the guidance of spirit.

Such experiences are mirrors of the times we live in, and the prevailing mindset that accompanies it . I share my own experience, as a way of offering encouragement, and healing to others going through similar encounters.

In the worst of times, 
it is important to remember there is always a ray of hope.

Presented here are prayers I and others have used successfully for employment, money, financial healing, stability, and grace, as well as blessings for your relationship, family, and self-esteem.

1. Prayer For Rising Above Fear

Dear Lord, please ease our hearts in this world of uncertainty,
As we balance that which we desire with our true need,
As we look for higher values in the midst of material loss,
As we remember the wealth and abundance born of your creation,
And know that as you move us from fear to love,
We will be enriched with the treasures of spirit and peace.

2. Prayer for Employment

Heavenly father, please sustain my spirit as I search for new and meaningful work. You have blessed me with a healthy body and a keen mind for which I am grateful. I ask that you open my path as I seek employment that will allow me to support my family and myself while serving others and your divine purpose.

3. Prayer for Strength and Faith

Dear Lord,

In these troubling times,
I am filled with unspeakable fears.
I reach my hand out to you now.
I ask you to walk beside me.
Please help me hold on strong,
During these storms.
And help me hold my hopes high,
Even in the darkest hour.

4. Blessing For God's Grace

The Children of Israel hungered in the desert 
and God gave them Manna.
When the Temple was restored in Jerusalem,
there was only enough lamp oil for one day,
 but God extended it to eight days.
Jesus fed the multitudes with five loaves and two fish.
With God’s grace, our “cups runneth over” 
and we “shall not want.”

God provides. Amen.

5. Prayer for Prosperity

Dear God, source of Love and Life 
who brings abundance to all,
Please bring prosperity 
to me and my family now.
We ask that these basic needs be filled:
Money to pay our bills,
Income to meet our mortgage (rent),
Enough to feed us healthy food,
And more than enough 
for health care and wellness.
Beyond the material needs, 
please uplift our souls.
Inspire our creativity and resourcefulness.
Guide us in improving our lives.
Please help us to hold on to faith

And let us find peace. Amen.

6. The Lord's Prayer-  
(A Modern Day Version)

Our Father, who art in heaven.
How Great is your holy name.
How wonderful is your Being,
Your ruling, and your world.

Your Kingdom comes.
Your Will be done on earth
(and in me)
As it is in the heavens.

Give me this day
My Daily bread
And forgive me
my sins and shortcomings
As I surrender to you
all those who have
sinned against me.

Lead me not
into temptation
(or the path of wickedness)
But deliver me from all evil.

For yours is the true world
The true Power, and
The true Glory
Through All Infinity
